I’ve had several troubleshooting issues with my Ooni Koda 16 since purchasing it about 18months ago. I have found it all too unreliable, you get your stuff ready to assemble your pizza then when you try to fire up the oven it either doesn’t light up or the flames appear irregular and the pizza is not cooked properly. It all seems like pot luck. The support team are quick to respond and make suggestions but when nothing suggested works and you are stuck with an oven that doesn’t work it all adds up to a gargantuan waste of money.

Purchased the Ooni Karu 12 for Christmas and ALL the accessories needed. Was worried it was going to be the most expensive one time pizza ever eaten and hoping it wasn't more effort than expected. We LOVE it. Very easy to light and maintain the flame (with hardwood oak kindling), heats up in less than 15 minutes and performs better than we thought. Even in wind and rain we had it going on the decking outside the back door on Boxing Day eve and New Year's Eve. Strongly suggest the thermometer to monitor the perfect temperature as you can only burn a few pieces of kindling at a time which burn away fairly frequently so the temperature fluctuates massively if kindling isn't added consistently. Just purchased the gas burner (yet to be tested) as a back up, as wood prices are rising rapidly. Had to contact customer support as 1 item delivered yesterday was broken/smashed in transit (plastic proofing tray). Customer support was excellent. Very prompt response and above and beyond the solution I expected. An expensive product range but the design and quality is of a high standard and the performance we have experienced with ours (2 firings in terrible weather) was great so the price is justified. The product (Karu 12) is even better than I expected. Solid, insulated, easy to set up. It's a bit fiddly to find bits of wood small enough to fit into the burner (15cm long by 4cm wide is best, but it will take up to 20cm long), but it takes very little wood to heat it up and keep it hot. I'm not sure I've ever seen a consumer product this heat efficient before. But Ooni also deserve credit for their customer service. I had a fault in the wooden plate under a cast iron skillet, so I contacted support. Within minutes, I got a mail telling me they're sending me a new one. You can't do better than that. So high quality product, good service, I very highly recommend Ooni.

Most probably the worst customer service experience I have had spending as much as I did. I intentionally order the oven at the beginning of November to avoid the rush of the Christmas buying season. It took over a month to finally get the oven I ordered. There is no ability to call and talk with customer service, so you are left to wait for an email conversation which can take days to sort out. In the end I got the oven after we left town for our Christmas holiday. Luckily I have good friends who took the oven and shipped it to another state where we were having Christmas. They also advertise 950°F cooking but I live in southern AZ where the winter temps are in the high 60s and haven't seen over 700°F even after 45 minutes of heating.

What a fabulous product. From the minute we unpacked the Ooni oven and put it together to making our first pizza everything went so smoothly. The tips for making our first pizza were spot on, they came out perfectly. The construction of this little oven and the internal heat it creates is amazing.

Got the Ooni Koda for Xmas after researching different ovens. Ordered the peel and the cover. Drove the hour round trip to buy a propane tank (and some cheater pre-made dough). Set up was super easy out of the box. Attached the hose and it immediately leaked bubbling and hissing in two places. Never got to use oven. Had four pies ready to go in. Will definitely still buy a portable oven but will go back to the research. Not sure I will risk an Ooni again. I get some defects get missed and product gets shipped but blowing up while cooking seems like a big price to pay for a pie.

I had an issue with the stone inside my pizza oven. The Ooni representative responded promptly, even over the weekend! My issue began on Saturday night, and by Sunday afternoon a new pizza stone was already shipped and en route to me. It was some of the fastest and most responsive customer service that I've ever received from any company!

As far as pizza goes I expected to be impressed with the Ooni Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven. I did my research (like you are if you are reading this). I did a lot of research. Looking into building my own oven and other oven companies, etc. I'm also no amateur when it comes to homemade pizza. So, research and experience considered - I expected the Ooni Karu 16 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven to impress me and it did. One of my best kitchen purchases ever - if not the best. What I didn't expect was the attention to detail regarding the entire purchase process. The ordering, the shipping, the box and packaging, the quality of the build, the excellent instructions and the overall ingenuity were very impressive. More companies need to deliver throughout the manufacturing and purchase process like Ooni. Not just pizza oven companies -ALL COMPANIES! It was impressive.

My kids got me a OONI Karu12 as a Xmas gift before I received my oven I got the OONI app and watched all the videos on it so I was pretty familiar with the oven before I received it I put it together…I made pizza dough and made three pizzas last night all where amazing and it’s so so fun … what a great gift … great quality as well Thank you Team Onni
