Misleading Website

Recently purchased Allbirds as a gift so I can’t rate the shoes. I do however have an issue with the company for selling products via a local website and in a local currency- in my case Australia and yet charging customers to a US account, which is far from transparent at the time of purchase. This obviously incurs international bank transfer fees which is clearly an additional cost to the consumer. International retailers should disclose their financial headquarters and let customers decide if they want to shop there. Turns out we’re not all American

I'm shocked

Great shoes, very comfortable. The soles do, however, not ground, causing me to get electric shocks all day long which greatly reduces the joy of wearing the shoes. I can't even wear them to work, which is what I bought them for in the first place.

Best customer service ever

Ordered 1 pair of shoes and 2 pairs of socks as Christmas presents. For unknown reasons, the courier never delivered my order. I emailed the Allbirds’ customer experience team, and got a reply very quickly. They were extremely friendly and helpful, and offered to re-send me those same items in a separate express shipping. That was really above and beyond expectations. I didn’t get my presents on time for Christmas (which was entirely the courier’s fault), but they were really appreciated anyway. I am told especially the socks are uber comfortable…

Really disappointed with the sizing

Really disappointed with the sizing - much too small, probably a full size or even size and a half too small. The quality also doesn't justify £100 for a pair of slippers. Redeeming feature is the easy return, so hopefully I'll get my money back in a timely fashion.

Great Service on online purchase. Boots delivered promptly and nicely boxed. Nice looking boot and well made; was curious when before ordering I read about the materials used. They are sound! Only drawback for me is questionable sizing. I take a UK10 but find that the boot on a couple of wearings inclines to the tight side. I’m hoping that with more wear the materials might stretch a little. It’s not a complete disappointment, but an extra 1/2 size would have suited me better.

Reputable company?

Reputable company? I had thought that Allbirds were a reputable company BUT: My partner bought me a pair for Christmas 2 years ago, she bought them early so by the time Christmas arrived the return period had passed. When I tried them on they were too tight but as there appeared to be nothing wrong we had to except that there was nothing we could do. Last week I was spring cleaning and I came across the shoes and I decided to give them to a charity shop BUT... on examining them I realised that the size labelling was incorrect the Euro size didn't match the UK equivalent, so there was no way of knowing the actual shoe size. I contacted Allbirds and they confirmed that they had labelling issues and the labels were incorrect. They refused any sort of refund because the shoes were out of warranty. So, in summary, we have a company who manufactured and sold shoes that were incorrectly labelled but refuse to offer any sort of refund/compensation because the product is now out of warranty. Do you really want to do business who treats its customers in such a shoddy manner.?

Remarkably uncomfortable

In the past year I've bought a pair of Wool Runner Mizzles and Tree Runners. The Tree Runners are a bit uncomfortable, but not unbearably so. The Wool Runner Mizzles though are awful - impossible to wear for more than a 10-minute walk to the post office without getting a serious blister. This is after wearing them in for months using plasters to bed them in around the heels. It's really amazing that they can be so painful to wear given how soft they are overall. Like I say, the Tree Runners are better but I won't be buying from Allbirds again and I'm discarding my Wool Runner Mizzles - they're just too painful to wear. For the cost of Allbirds I'm really disappointed.

TreeBreezers falling apart 3 months

My TreeBreezers look great but started to fall apart after less than 3 months - I hand washed them and did not put them in the dryer. As far as flats go, they're very comfortable but not supportive on the inner part of your foot. That said, I'd wear them if they didn't fall apart so soon. I didn't reach out to Allbirds about it because I thought they had a lifetime warranty (they don't) and I was waiting for my color to come back. Going to try Rothys instead.

Comfortable but not waterproof

First off, these shoes do not, I say again, do not offer any kind of water resistance at all! I own two pairs of Allbirds, their trail shoe bought for the sole reason(pun it) that it offered unprecedented comfort, lightness and water proof. While they are light and comfortable, probably one of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, I’m disappointed they offer no water resistance at all! My feet were soaked through after just a minute of walking through wet grass.

Dissatisfying customer experience

I’m a size 7.5 and originally ordered a size 8 (since they say to go up a size if a half size). The 8’s were too large and after requesting an exchange and waiting about another week for it to show up, it finally did. Not only did they send me the wrong product, they sent me the wrong size. (A woman’s size 11) When contacting customer support it took a couple of days to get back to me, but then they asked me questions such as: (1) Does that item match the description on the outside of the box? (2) Confirm the address as well as the item(s) you were hoping to receive. As soon as you confirm we will expedite a replacement to you right away.​​​​​​ (3) We will email a prepaid return label to you once you confirm the information above. Print out the return label, and tape it over the current label on the box you received. No additional paperwork necessary.​​​​​​ (4) You can drop the box off at your local FedEx or USPS at your earliest convenience NOTE: How am I supposed to know the type of shoe that was sent to me?? I don’t know their full product line. I just know that it wasn’t what I ordered. Also, I do not have a printer (who under the age of 50 does?!) so after answering all of their questions I asked if they could send me another QR code. I finally just asked them for a return because if the 7.5 didn’t fit, I didn’t want to have to drive all the way to a FedEx or USPS location to start the process all over again. Last but not least, when I finally returned it today I received an email saying that a refund was on the way. I did not get fully reimbursed for the full amount that I paid, because the return was for the product minus shipping costs. Overall, this was just a really bad customer experience, and I will never go through them again.

Customer service is non-existent. Ordered shoes for Mother's Day delivery and they will not be there as originally promised. part of the problems is the slow service by Allbirds and part is the lack of urgency by FedEx/USPS hybrid service. If the date of delivery is important,shop elsewhere.

These shoes are not very good

These shoes are not very good. Not worth $100. I've had cheap $40 sketchers that fit better. I'm an average 5"9 150lb man with a size 10.5 foot and these don't fit good at all. They're called runner shoes and the heel of the shoe is way to low. Every time I take a step my foot pulls out of the shoe. Thats just walking. If I ran in them they would both fall off immediately. It's like they're designed for a child and not an adult. Not to mention they get a little wet and your sock is soaked. Not a good shoe for the money. Don't buy them

I love my Allbird shoes and ordered two…

I love my Allbird shoes and ordered two pairs already. They are pretty and super comfortable to wear. The only thing I'm not happy with was the shipping by GLS. They didn't deliver the package to my home, didn't ring the bell or leave a note in my mailbox (I was at home the whole day). I would appreciate Allbirds switching shipping partners, since this has not been the first time it happened with GLS.

Hi The shoes were one size too big and there was no return label or return address in the package! Dear Allbird team It was unusual not to find a return label in the package and I had already asked my friends if the size fits. I was all the more surprised that the problem could be solved easily and quickly and without additional costs. Thank you very much I enjoy my new favorite part in the perfect size.

allbirds lives up to his promise (at first feel)

I just bought my first pair of allbirds Tree Pipers. I was looking for the best sneakers ever (light and comfortable) to wear without socks. I just put them on and probably will go to bed with them. Great buy ... and excellent buying experience.

Don’t last

I originally loved allbirds, I have a pair of mizzles and my boyfriend has tree dashers and they are comfortable. But they do not last. For the price the quality long-term is awful. Within a few months my wool mizzles we’re all piling inside, I’ve never had that problem with any shoes before. My boyfriend’s tree dashers within a year have no grip left on the bottom. Not at all what you’d expect for a £100+ shoe and contradicts their claim to be planet friendly if you have no choice but to throw them out within a year!!

My wife was raving about these environmental conscious shoes, and brought me a pair for my birthday in August 2021 they were very comfy but fell apart after 6/7 months the soles unglued from the shoe, I didn’t run in them once just casual walking the dog every day. Pretty poor product like most things these days, with a big emphasis on marketing and Instagram hype, poor craftsmanship unfortunately, I binned them today 30/03/22

I love Allbirds shoes! This is my 4th shoe that I purchased for myself and Tree Runners are definitely the most amazing shoe. It is so comfortable to walk with, looks very fun and elegant. Planning to buy more colors!

I've never loved shoes until now

I've never loved shoes until now! These are so ridiculously comfortable I end up wearing them around the house. Ordered a second pair within 24 hours and am slowly plotting the replacement of all my shoes!

This was my first time trying out Allbirds. I’ve been wearing them daily on long walks both in the city and on the beach. So far they live up to the hype. They are comfortable, light weight, and durable.

Poor quality undermines the sustainability message

I've had two pairs of Allbirds. The first had to be returned immediately due to a production fault. The second fell apart after less than two years of light use. (Other trainers I've had tend to last 3-5 years.) The problem appears to be poor quality adhesives connecting the body of the shoe to the sole. Products aren't 'sustainable' if you have to keep buying new ones. Avoid.

Reasonable price and comfortable !

Every item is so reasonable and basic that I was already aware of how comfortable they are. Very simple purchasing process, excellent communication, and customer service I'm already considering acquiring a collection!!

In a nutshell: Great Shoes - Great Service. With my latest purchase, a pair of tree dashers for my wife, her comment after wearing them in and around the house for two days was: I never experienced such comfortable and well fitting shoes in my life - they made me forget my feet (my wife is 60 and has a lot of foot problems). I have had the same eperience since I bought my first pair last year and that is the reason I have just bought two more pairs.

Very happy

I’m really happy with the whole experience. The first pair I bought were too small (I was a bit surprised by this having read about sizing) but it was no problem to return and get a larger pair. Both pairs arrived within two days of order.

Absolutely brilliant trainers, so warm - I suffer from cold feet even in the warmer months, my feet in these are always warm, they are also incredibly comfortable on my feet and supportive of my back. I highly recommend. The returns and customer service was easy and helpful ad I ordered a couple of options for sizing.

Word of warning

Lovely shoe. Word of warning: those styles that don’t have half sizes where the website recommends going up a size did not work for me. Fine at first but then got aches & pains, too late to return. The style/ pair I have now, purchased in the correct half size are a dream.

Muzzle trainers

I received a pair of muzzle trainers for Xmas and am truly delighted with them. They are the most comfortable trainers I have ever had. Still have a pair I bought 2 years ago and still going strong. I use them on a daily basis as I do 2 dog walks daily. I have found them not only comfortable but lovely and warm and extremely durable. Two of my neighbours were so impressed that they have bought a pair each. Should be an ambassador for your company!

Mizz-Leading Water Claims

I bought my Mizzles in all black, when they first arrived on our shores..all the hyped up advertising about them being water-repellant quickly wore off after just a few outings. I only used them for cycling, because I don't like wearing trainers or socks, I thought they'd be ideal & as so many of their reviewers were saying they wore theirs sockless, I took a chance..I agree, they are very comfy without socks on, but that's only any good if my feet remain dry - which they don't, as I discovered on my third puddle! After having worn them for much of the summer, the sole started to come away on the outer front edge on the left boot..this was quickly followed by the right inner foot about a month later..they were right at the end of the guarantee. But when I asked for a refund I was refused. So I purchased another identical pair & mentioned this in an email - then & only then did they offer me a replacement pair of Mizzles..I won't be buying them again.

Not built to last

No problems purchasing the shoes and they were initially very comfy and were exactly what I was looking for but this barely lasted a couple of months. Now coming up to 3.5 months of wear they have split at the back - I would expect that £120 trainers would be built to last more than a few months. I did contact All Birds and they will be replacing the shoe so I am upgrading this review to 3 stars for now. Hopefully just a factory defect and not a design faul.

Do not purchase All rids for a gift for anyone!!! I purchased some Allbirds products for family members for Christmas, could not exchange after 30 days even though they had the tags on the product. I had purchased over $2,000 in products, because they were having supply change issues I purchased just before Thanksgiving. Could not exchange new product because of their policy. No wonder their stock keeps falling. Probably will not be around in 3 years.
