Hisense Refrigerator Reviews 2023 : Hisense French Door Refrigerator

Hisense Refrigerator Reviews 2023 : Hisense French Door Refrigerator

Hisense Refrigerator Review - legitreviewed.com

Hisense Refrigerator Review

The Hisense HRF254N6TSE isn't packed with bells and whistles, but it's a fantastic fridge for the money. This no-nonsense stainless steel French door nailed our temperature testing, providing stable, consistent cooling that only slightly deviates from the optimum. A through-the-door ice and water dispenser, a folding shelf to provide room for higher products, and a deli drawer round out the fridge's amenities. The HRF254N6TSE's only drawback is that it falls short of average in terms of raw storage space. However, when comparing only refrigerators in the same price range, it's one of the more roomy options available. You could be disappointed if you expect this fridge to hold a lot of food, but in every other case, you'll be pleased with what the HRF254N6TSE has to offer for the money. We also recommend looking into the LG LFCS22520S, which is one of the best French-door fridges under $2,000 but lacks a dispenser and is a little smaller.

Hisense Refrigerator Good or Bad

Pros

  • Almost perfect temperature
  • Through-the-door water & ice
  • Good value for money

Cons

  • Not a lot of space available
  • No smart features

The exterior of the Hisense HRF254N6TSE French-door refrigerator is brushed stainless steel. The through-the-door dispenser is located on the left door, although the front of the fridge is otherwise unadorned.

The Hisense HRF254N6TSE sports pocket handles instead of traditional handles, which we think contributes to a sleek and user-friendly design.

With two doors that open into one refrigerated compartment, this fridge has a conventional French-door layout. A sliding shelf is located in the top right corner, and a full-width pantry drawer is located in the bottom. To help segregate the space, the freezer drawer is two-tiered, with a lower storage compartment and a drawer higher up.

How good a brand is Hisense? Hisense HRF254N6TSE

Stable & even temperature in fridge & freezer

HISENSE REFRIGERATOR - legitreviewed.com

The Hisense HRF254N6TSE's page touts its inverter technology's reliable temperature management, as well as an "ultra-cold function" that swiftly chills new food.

Of course, we had to put that promise to the test, and we can now confirm that it does provide great temperature management.

Refrigerators must maintain a temperature range of 32°F to 40°F in general. Anything below this temperature range will freeze, while anything over it will spoil considerably more quickly. The refrigerator compartment of the HRF254N6TSE averaged 38.83°F in our test, which is close to the optimal temperature of 37°F. Even with defrost cycles and our opening the door every now and then to simulate normal use, the temperature rarely changed over time. This entails maintaining constant, safe temperatures over time.

Similarly, your freezer should stay as near to 0°F as possible without wobbling, as temperature changes create freezer burn.

In our lab, the freezer maintained a consistent temperature of -0.34°F on average, with less than 1°F variation over time.

Adjustable Storage Options For Low-Priority Items

HISENSE REFRIGERATOR REVIEWS - legitreviewed.com

The HRF254N6TSE features a few unique storage options that help it stand out from the crowd. For instance, the shelf in the fridge's upper right corner may roll below itself, reducing its depth and allowing users to store taller goods in front of it, such as wine bottles.

A full-width drawer at the bottom of the fridge holds deli trays, cookie sheets, and other large, flat containers. While we welcome having the option to store these bulky trays, keep in mind that the drawer is just three inches tall.

Through-The-Door Easy Water & Ice Dispenser

HISENSE REFRIGERATOR REVIEWS - legitreviewed.com

Our lab testers love through-the-door ice and water dispensers because they give an extra layer of filtration for healthy water, the water always comes out cold, and distributed ice is easier to keep track of than a tray of cubes.

The through-the-door dispenser on the HRF254N6TSE is well-designed, with clean, obvious labeling and the ability to dispense both cubed and crushed ice, as well as filtered water. Its light will assist you in locating the dispenser at night, but it isn't so bright that it can blind you in a dark kitchen.

Built To Save Energy And Your Utility Bill

We were impressed by the Hisense HRF254N6TSE's energy efficiency, which used no more electricity than the average fridge to maintain its square area cool.

Fridges use roughly 7% of a home's total power usage, making them one of the biggest contributors to your monthly utility bill. As a result, we were pleased to note that the Hisense HRF254N6TSE provides outstanding temperature management without consuming the full power grid.

Things We Don't Like In Hisense HRF254N6TSE

Less Usable Storage As Compared To Other French-Door Refrigerators

While we enjoy some of the HRF254N6TSE's storage features, such as the sliding shelf and full-width drawer, this fridge, despite Hisense's promises to the contrary, offers less raw storage space than the usual French-door fridge. The refrigerator capacity of the HRF254N6TSE is 10.21 cu. ft., and the freezer capacity is 4.41 cu. ft. Compare these figures to the average French-door refrigerator, which has a fridge section of 11.19 cu. ft. and a freezer compartment of 4.69 cu. ft.

There are two causes for this disparity. To begin with, as compared to comparable French-door refrigerators in its price range, the HRF254N6TSE is slightly larger than the competition: For example, the LG LFCS22520S has an 8.66-cubic-foot fridge and a 3.43-cubic-foot freezer, which are both larger than the Hisense HRF254N6TSE.

Still, if capacity is a must-have feature in a refrigerator, the HRF254N6TSE falls short. The refrigerator compartment is also around 1 cu. ft. less than the usual. To put things in perspective, a two-liter bottle is only 0.07 cubic feet, thus missing a whole cubic foot may mean a trip to the grocery store a day earlier than necessary on a typical French-door fridge. The freezer section is similarly smaller, but the chasm isn't as wide.

If you have a large family or storage space is a significant factor in your refrigerator purchase, the HRF254N6TSE may not be right for you. Nonetheless, it provides adequate storage for a refrigerator in this price range.

Who Is Hisense Owned By?

Hisense is a Chinese appliance and electronics manufacturer controlled by the state-owned Qingdao capital fund. They have huge share in global market.

Hisense Refrigerator Review - Hisense Customer Reviews

HISENSE REFRIGERATOR REVIEW - legitreviewed.com

HRF254N6TSE owners are generally pleased with their purchase, which scored 4.3 out of 5 ratings from major merchants. Favorite elements of the product include the storage options, pricing, and through-the-door dispenser, according to positive Hisense French door refrigerator reviews.

The majority of negative reviews and complaints appear to be from people who received a lemon, however the frequency of these reports appears to be larger for the HRF254N6TSE than for the average refrigerator.

The majority of people complain that their refrigerator and/or freezer ceased working correctly after the first year or so. We don't currently test durability or longevity in this way, so if you have any problems with your Hisense HRF254N6TSE, please let us know—and keep in mind that Hisense's warranty should cover these costs.

Hisense Warranty

The typical parts and service warranty for major appliances is one year. Hisense provides a two-year warranty, effectively making it twice as reliable as many other brands. While we appreciate their willingness to stand behind their products, some manufacturers provide significantly longer warranties—up to ten years in certain cases.

Should You Go for Hisense HRF254N6TSE?

Should You Go for Hisense refrigerator - legitreviewed.com

Yes! If your want is to have a simple French-door refrigerator.

The Hisense HRF254N6TSE is a high-performance refrigerator that gets the job done and won't break the bank. The HRF254N6TSE is an excellent option if you only need a basic French-door refrigerator.

The HRF254N6TSE maintains constant temperatures within the appropriate temperature range. Despite having less storage capacity overall, the sliding shelf and deli drawer provide flexible storage alternatives.

The HRF254N6TSE isn't the French-door fridge for you if you want the latest and best features. It's also not aiming to be the control center for your smart home.

If you're looking for a wonderful mid-range fridge with a through-the-door dispenser, the HRF254N6TSE is a great value. We also suggest looking into the LG LFCS22520S, which is one of the best French-door refrigerators under $2,000 on the market. If money is no issue and your urge is to try the best there is, the Frigidaire Gallery FG4H2272UF is the way to go.

My washing machine broke after 10…

My washing machine broke after 10 months, the glass cracked during an empty drum clean cycle due to a manufacturing fault. I contacted them for a spare part and after months of arguing I have been told its not covered by warranty and the part will be 5 months before delivery. The customer service response was very poor, taking ages to respond and completely unsympathetic for the wait. I was offered a paltry £30 goodwill payment, but would have to wait 5 months until my nearly new machine old be repaired. They refused to replace the machine despite being required to provide adequate spare parts under the Right to Repair Act 2020. Disgusting company and I will not buy another product from them. Thankfully AO.com have been really supportive and replaced the machine at their cost after arguing with Hisense on my behalf.

These are the worst appliances I have ever bought!

We bought a Hisense oven and a hob in early 2021. They are a total disaster. Most ovens have a dial to set what temperature you want. On a Hisense it’s more like throwing a dice. Usually the real temperature is between 20 and 50 degrees centigrade higher than what you have set, but after the second new thermostat being fitted it is now completely random and can be 30 degrees lower than the setting. Also, the oven has so little power that if it gets to temperature and you put something large inside, it often loses 40 or 50 degrees and is incapable of recovering to the temperature when it was empty. Now, a year after we bought it, it is scrap because the grill comes on randomly and burns anything near it. Now the hob. That worked fine for a year until the circuit board failed. It took several weeks for an engineer to fit a brand new replacement hob. That lasted a few weeks and even though it seems to be a different model it has failed with the same symptoms. Hisense is cheap Chinese garbage. Ironically we bought the oven to replace a 30 year old Belling because the fan had failed, but it still worked far better than the new Hisense appliances. Beware.

Don't buy a hisense fridge frezer

I brought a hisense fridge freezer with ice maker and filtered water. It is rubbish the first week we had to get them out because the icmaker wasn't working the engineer said it was a manufacturing problem that wa very commen Then a year later we had to pay because it ran out of gas with the engineer saying that when hisense make them they don't fill it enough. And now we are having more problems calling people out 4 times in the last 6 months because the freezer keeps stop working. Don't buy spend a couple of hundred more and buy a better brand ot will save you money in the long run and the inconvenience and cost of food spoiling wand having no fridge while you wait weeks for it to be repaired

Good product, awful service…

I bought a Hisense fridge-freezer from Currys beginning of December and it arrived with scratched door. I called Currys and was told my options were: - I can return it, or - they can offer compensation, or - I can get the door replaced. Since I had Currys collect my old fridge for recycling, the door replacement seemed like the best option (all my food had to be moved to the new fridge and I didn't want compensation, I wanted a brand new, mint condition fridge). Currys put me in touch with the manufacturer, Hisense, who confirmed they ordered a new door and it will arrive to my home address. Once it does, I was to let them know and they would arrange for someone to fit it. All very reasonable so far, right? Well it took 3 months for the door to arrive and when it did, it was the wrong door (they sent freezer door instead of fridge door). So I emailed Hisense again, they apologized and said they will collect the door and send a new, correct one. It's been six months now and I had no delivery and I am still waiting for a resolution from Hisense. Thankfully I paid via credit card so if I don't hear from Hisense by the end of this month I will make a section 75 claim on my credit card. This whole experience makes me seriously doubt the genuity of all the positive comments praising Hisense customer service...

UPDATE THE TV SOFTWARE HISENSE for crying out loud!

The britbox app never worked on my hisense tv and no one at hisense can figure out that a TV update was needed. Now, channel 5s My5 app has been updated and guess what, my Hisense TV won't play the app anymore! Why? Because its a huge brick stuck with old tech no one cares to update to stay relevant! Honestly, the worst TV brand iv ever owned, and I won't be buying another one. What's the point of it when it doesn't keep up with updates in order to play TV! Tech support clearly don't see that software updates are something they need to perform to make the apps which have been updated, work. Instead they ask you REPEATEDLY to clear the cache and reset the TV.

Product Support Letdown:

Product Support Letdown: I bought the Hisense 100 inch laser tv in December 2021 which I love, but a few months ago two noticeable spots appeared on the screen, which is not actually on the screen but on the special lens, I sent several emails to Hisense uk support team and eventually got a reply asking me to send more details and photos, which I did right away but got no response, I have re-sent the information several times but had nothing back! Very disappointing from a company of this size !

Zero after purchase support

Apparently this company see no point in having a customer service that'll do anything to help. I bought a hisense TV and wanted some help regarding some issues I had with it. I contact their social media team and email several of their teams. None of the emails teams replied and their social media team just wasn't interested in answering any of my questions and instead kept asking me for information I'd already given them multiple times, when they could be bothered to reply. If you want to buy a product from a company that'll give you any kind of post purchase support. This isn't the company for you. If you want support with your warranty, this also isn't the company for you. I'm talking the TV back to exchange it because of my experience with this god awful customer service. They simply don't care at all

Unhappy with Hisense Fridge/Freezer

I have been trying on and off for months now to find out why my Hisense fridge/freezer continually gets a water build up(two litres) underneath the Lower Crisper Tray. If we don't remove the water in time it spills out onto out kitchen floor. The operation manual is absolutely useless and trying to find anything online is just as bad. I tried phoning Hisense about the problem but if your warranty has run out they don't want to know you, in fact it is an automated message, you don't even get to speak to a human. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Unfortunately we only had the product about 3 months. First impressions were that it was a great fridge- freezer. However the doors dropped slightly and were catching on freezer draw. Despite 3 cancelled visits due to non availability of spares, we received a full refund and purchased another fridge-freezer from a different manufacturer
