Balsam Hill Fraser - legitreviewed.com

Balsam Hill Fraser Fir with Candlelight Clear LED, 7.5' – Price: $699 at Amazon

We saved this Balsam tree to test last for no reason other than it came in the largest, heaviest box. It was the only fir tree I needed help bringing inside the home (the total weight is 103 pounds), but once inside, I was completely smitten. Despite needing assistance while it was being boxed up, I was able to wheel the tree out of the upright shipping carton, remove its two parts from their heavy-duty canvas duffle bag-like cases, and use the tree's ingenious flip feature to easily rotate the base tree portion upright and attach the lighter-weight top portion by myself.

The stand of this fir artificial Christmas tree is high enough to manage easily. It doesn't look like we are forced to place it in a room. We also didn't put in much effort to assemble it. The packaging was a bit bulky but easy to remove. Apart from the tree, the beautiful combination of LED lights is sensibly wrapped around this gorgeous Christmas tree.

The carrier has wheels to move the tree wherever you want. When you open the final cover, the leaves will automatically adjust themselves. No additional arrangement is needed.

Pros

  • Similar to an original tree
  • Easy setup
  • Casing is protective

Cons

  • Costly
  • Heavy

Best Choice Products - legitreviewed.com

Best Choice Products Pre-Lit Spruce, 7.5' – Price: $199.99 at Amazon

The Christmas trees are more or less give you the same value, but when you compare the price ranges, you step back before buying one. The Pre-Lit Spruce is what we think is a value for money Christmas tree with a closer to the real look.

This premium quality tree looks amazing when you properly set it up. During unboxing, you may go unsurprised because the dried feeling will give you an uneasy vibe for some time. But that'd be temporary.

The beautiful silhouette of this artificial Christmas tree aligns well with the corner of the room. You can pick a corner to place the tree and display the Christmas gifts right at the bottom of it.

Pros

  • Budget-friendly
  • Amazing shape and borders

Cons

  • Papery vibes and odor while unboxing

The Test

We tested seven-eight Christmas trees and enjoyed the whole process. All of them shared 7.5' height except one (that was 7'). To be honest, from loading to unloading, and carrying in the home, and assembling, all of the tasks are a one-person job.

All of the artificial trees stayed in the home for three days. We analyzed how do they look, the lighting, stability, and any special features they offer.

Artificial Christmas Trees – Things to Remember

home depot artificial christmas trees - legitreviewed..com

Buying an artificial Christmas tree is not an easy job. A lot of customers whine about throwing good bucks just for some fake pieces of green plastic.

You already know how a Christmas tree looks like. It's so easy to turn on the lighting strips wrapped around an artificial tree and take a good picture of it. No one can deny that it won't look gorgeous. But what's the reality? You never know without seeing the product in real.

Retailers can manipulate you by showing beautiful snaps of a fake artificial Christmas tree. So what can you do about that?

We have collected two major factors that can ease your fir artificial Christmas tree buying process.

Size

First, you need to have the measurements of the room where you are going to place the Christmas tree. Once you are done with the height and corners of the room, think about how a perfectly sized tree will look here.

Now when you are to buy the tree, compare the measurements first. Do include the top of the tree as the width narrows down as we go high. The bottom width is the maximum. However, the carrier on which the tree is standing has some wheels too. So don't ignore them.

Don't make your Christmas look like your room is cramped up with a lighting tree. Buy the size a bit smaller than the actual readings. This will add more beauty to your Christmas decoration plan. And while finishing, place some gift boxes right at the bottom of the tree.

Aesthetics

target artificial christmas trees - legitreviewed.com

The beauty of the best artificial Christmas trees resides in the quality of the material. The branches of the tree use PVC or PE. Sometimes, you will find that a blend of PVC and PE is used. But that depends from tree to tree.

The PE Christmas trees are more viable and premium-looking products. The price might look a bit higher than PVC trees, but it's worth it. The PE fir artificial trees give a more realistic look as they have a pure three-dimensional figure. You can't expect to have a PE Christmas tree having low quality.

As a side note, if you see that the center pole is visible from the branches, avoid that tree at once.

Tests on Other Artificial Christmas Trees

Treetopia Luxe Balsam Spruce - legitreviewed.com

Treetopia Luxe Balsam Spruce with Clear LED, 7' – Price: $469 at Amazon

The 7-feet tall tree is from the category of shorter Christmas trees. The difference of a half-foot provides a unique decoration approach to your room. First, it's easier to assemble and arrange to the top. No additional steps are required.

Its width stretches to 54" with a delicate distribution of branches and twigs. You can simply unbox it on your own and place it in the corner. The LED lights are also available with this set. Once you are completely done with the Luxe Balsam Christmas tree, just give it a slight fluff, and the trunk will vanish.

Pros

  • Looks original
  • Lights are easy to set up

Cons

  • None

National Tree Company - legitreviewed.com

National Tree Company Downswept Douglas Green Fir, 7.5' – Price: $322.99 at Amazon

This is a realistic, mainly PE tree that is generously proportioned, with a maximum width of over 5 feet across.

Although it is simple to set up and takedown, the fact that it weighs 50 pounds should be taken into account. During dismantling, we had some difficulty detaching the top two components. (We noticed that the instructions included an optional tip: Lubricating the center section pole ends before dismantling will make sections simpler to separate when disassembling for storage.)

The Downswept Douglas Green Fir has a wonderful appearance. It has National Tree Company's "Feel Real" technology, which creates branch tips that are molded from real branches, giving the tree a rich appearance.

With nearly 2,000 crush-resistant branch tips, there's plenty of room to decorate.

Pros

  • Cost is justifiable
  • Warranty of 5 years

Cons

  • Dismantling is hectic

National Tree Company - legitreviewed.com

National Tree Company Dunhill Fir Pre-Lit Dual Color LED, 7.5' – Price: $379.23 at Amazon

This one is pure PVC. You can literally feel the cool vibe when you darken the room and turn on the 700 LED lights. Even when the tree's lights are off, the light brown shade from the twigs makes the ambiance cooler.

The Dunhill Fir Pre-Lit Christmas tree is one of the best by National Tree Company. You can't identify whether it's an original tree or an artificial one.

The lights are already arranged. You just have to plug in the wire. Make sure when you place it, there must be a connection nearby. Better if you place the tree in a corner to hide the wiring.

Pros

  • Looks real in light and dark surrounding
  • Lights have multiple setting

Cons

  • PVS needles sting a bit

Home Accents - legitreviewed.com

Home Accents LED Pre-Lit Wesley Long Needle Pine, 7.5' – Price: $149.00 from Amazon

Another all-PVC fir artificial Christmas tree is on the list! While we were testing this tree, we found out that there was no need to fix the bolt in the stand. This might not bother many because it's another hassle if you lose the bolt. But the optimistic part does not have a bolt that makes a stand independently stiff.

All of the Home Accents LED trees have needles at the branch. You can't identify them until you give a closer look. Also, LED lights possess eight functions. But before plugging in the wire right away, check out the direction of the arrow on the mid pole.

Pros

  • Sturdy in nature
  • Lights have eight functions

Cons

  • Difficult to give a fluff
  • Mid pole is visible

Hunter Fir - legitreviewed.com

Fraser Hill Farm Hunter Fir, 7.5' – Price: $269.75 at Amazon

This one is a flocked tree that gives a beautiful frosty Christmas vibe. So easy to assemble. And during the test, everyone enjoyed the visual cold effect from the Hunter Fir tree.

This tree looks beautiful until the artificial snowflakes start to fall off. The mess was so big that we couldn't place this tree in the list of top 3.

Coming to its size. This tree doesn't hide the pole well. Despite the disheveled branches and twigs, the pole is still visible. Branches won't easily fluff, and if you try harder, you may worsen the already created mess.

Pros

  • An extra bolt for the stand

Cons

  • Snowflakes fall off
  • Fragile
  • Unlit

Good quality Xmas tree delivered to door

Not as good as last year but great customer service.

Last years tree was picked for me and absolutely stunning and last years review reflected this. Unfortunately this year not so. I ordered a 6ft tree and paid £15 for local delivery. I didn’t mind too much as I thought it would be worth every penny if it was anything like lasts years. It was within a mm of 6ft, and one third of the tree has yellow needles which had to be faced against the wall out of sight. It’s too early to tell whether the tree will last as long as last years but for a total of £80 I am a little disappointed. *** Update - Cole’s have rang and very kindly offered a replacement. I declined as the tree is up - but top marks to you Cole’s, I’ll see you again next year.
